How it works
Each site runs an EdgeReset Gateway on an always-on Windows PC. This Console App pairs with that gateway to inventory EdgeReset devices and send reset commands over the site network.
1 · Install the gateway
Run EdgeReset_Gateway.exe on a PC on the same network as your devices. On its admin page, give the site a display name.
2 · Pair this Phone / PC
- In Settings → This Phone / PC, save a label.
- On the gateway’s Devices page, click Generate Pairing QR.
- In Settings → Gateway Management → Add New, scan that QR (or enter the URL and code).
3 · Add & manage devices
- Tap ↺ Sync on a gateway card to pull that site’s inventory.
- On Scan, scan a device’s QR — or enter it manually — to add it.
- On Devices, tap a device to edit, or select devices for bulk reset and export.
Tip: The header badge shows gateway status. You must be on the site network to sync or reset — unless the gateway is set to remote access.

What this app does
EdgeReset Console helps technicians inventory EdgeReset devices (CN-IMCG0101P-ER, CN-IMCG0201P-ER), store install photos and notes, and remotely power-cycle connected PoE cameras by sending reset commands through the site gateway.
The gateway PC is the source of truth for each site’s device list. This website keeps a local copy in your browser and syncs changes via the gateway’s v2 device API.
Console tabs
- Scan — QR scanner, manual device entry, device detail, reset, photos, and notes before saving to the list.
- Devices — all saved devices grouped by gateway; select multiple for bulk reset, local delete, or JSON export; tap a device to edit.
- Settings — this Phone / PC label, Gateway Management (saved gateways: set active, edit, test, sync, remove; and pair new gateways), and version info in this About tab.
Multiple gateways
You can save more than one site gateway. The active gateway is used for new scans, sync-with-gateway, and quick resets. Each gateway card shows its own connection status. Removing a gateway pairing also removes its devices from this device’s list (local only — devices remain on the gateway until an admin deletes them there).
Gateway status badge
● CONNECTEDGateway reachable and token accepted — sync and resets allowed per access mode
● NOT ON SITE NETWORKGateway is up but you are off the LAN — connect to site Wi‑Fi (unless gateway is in remote mode)
● TOKEN INVALIDSaved token was rejected — re-pair under Settings → Add New Gateway
● GATEWAY UNREACHABLEGateway not running, wrong URL (include /s/… for broker sites), tunnel/broker down, or firewall blocking access
● NOT CONFIGUREDNo gateway paired yet — complete setup under Settings
Sync & device fields
- Sync pulls the authoritative list from the gateway, pushes your pending changes, and registers new devices. Use it after pairing or when another technician updated the site inventory.
- Editable after sync: label, location, notes, endpoint IP, photos (up to 12 per device). Product S/N and P/W lock after the device is registered on the gateway — change those on the gateway admin Devices page if needed.
- Reset commands use Wake-on-LAN UDP ports 7 or 9 only, to a site broadcast or private LAN address (default
255.255.255.255).
- Endpoint IP is optional — the IP of the camera or endpoint behind the converter (IPv4 or IPv6).
- Delete in this app hides a device locally only. To remove it from the site permanently, delete it on the gateway admin Devices page.
Your data
- Devices, photos, and settings are stored locally in this browser (IndexedDB). Clearing site data or using another browser starts fresh.
- Your active gateway is the source of truth — on a new device or browser, re-pair and Sync to restore the site's device list.
- This app: v · gateway compatibility is shown in the Version Information card above.
Site gateway admin (on the PC)
The gateway includes browser admin pages: Log (events, pairing QR, allow-list), Devices (site inventory, admin edit/delete), and Settings (display name, access mode). Gateway package version — see gateway documentation for install and API details.
